A Library is born...

Children's Room Memory Lane... 

Childrens Room 1909- in Southern Basement . Shortly after the 1909 addition it was decided to move upstairs to the south side of building in the southern Rotunda. Later it was moved back  to the Second ave side of building in 1917. Photo  taken by G.E. Mapes. DollCase 1970- Dollcase on display in the childrens room remained on until 2007 when it was removed. Children's Room after it was moved from the basement to the Southern Rotunda 1910 -1916. This area is now part of the adult circulation desk areas. Reference through the Ages..
.

 As the library grew so did its individual sections and departments. The High School Reading Room became the HIgh School Reference Reading Room  after 1909 and later was moved to the North west annex of the library after the addition of a new wing in 1938.

Adult Circulation through time ... 

Adult Circulation has had some changes in its long history. Here are some images from past years at the circulation from the time it was a small desk in a hallway to the big shiny horseshoe desk of today
