LIBRARY CARDS
A Mount Vernon Public Library card is available to all who live, work, own real property, or attend school in Mount Vernon. Also available to Bronx residents work, own real property, or attend school in Mount Vernon.
Bronx residence cards expire after 1 year.
A WLS Library card may be purchased for $75 dollars from WLS if you do not meet above requirments.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A CARD
ADULT - a Valid Driver's license or 2 pieces of mail with current address and a photo ID.
STUDENT- School ID and proof of address.(such as a recent report card)
CHILDREN - Children must be able to print their first and last names and come to apply accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with proof of Mount Vernon residency.
Children up to the sixth grade are issued library cards from the Children's Department. All others are issued adult cards. Your library card must be presented each time you check out materials.

All materials may be renewed once. Renewals may be made in person, via the WLS Internet home page, by phone, or by mail.
