
Who We Are..
The Friends of the Mount Vernon Public Library was founded in 1986 and incorporated in January 1992. The Friends is a non-profit, volunteers organization whose purpose is to promote the Library as a resource for educational, cultural and recreational activities in our community. We draw public attention to the Library's services, facilities and needs.
What we do
To inquire about membership in the Friends please call (914) 668-1840 Friends Membership Application Dues are tax deductible. The Library is eligible for most matching gift programs.

The Friends are accepting donations of gently used books in good condition. Please drop off your donations at the First Avenue Lobby. Please ring bell by the display case for assistance.
